When to visit Germany? That is a good question from a friend who wishes to spend a vacation on the country. Currently, she is living and working in Norway. So, going to Germany is somewhat possible. But, she is a bit confused on what months to visit as Germany is quite unpredictable when it comes to the weather.

Based on research I made, the best time to visit Germany would be in summer, between the months of June and September. Another good time would be during Christmas. But, the airfare skyrocket at Christmas time. Plus, I’m certain she would want to get away from the cold temperature she is experiencing right now. I’m just guessing she loves to enjoy warm temperatures, long and sunny days, colorful open-air festivals, and many outdoor activities. So, the trip will probably take place during summer.

dreamed vacation for the holidays

We’ve finally saved enough money to go on our dreamed vacation for the holidays and was about to buy a travel insurance. But, before we could prepare for it there is a major event that occurs. The simple abdominal pain isn’t that simple after all. Hubby was diagnosed with an acute appendicitis and has to go to undergo operation.

Of course we have to follow the doctor’s advice or face major consequences in the end. But, that would mean postponing our planned vacation. The good thing we still have money to spend for our Christmas celebration. Despite everything, we are still in the mood to observe the holidays.

My brother planned to give my mom and my sister a three day vacation. He explained that airfare is really cheap this time of the year because it’s off season. Many hotels are also giving away discounts. Those are the reasons he feels this is the best time to give them a vacation. However, I don’t think his plan is fair for dad. Dad is also seeking a vacation for a long time now. I don’t think he likes the idea that my mother and sister will go on vacation without him even if he is saying the opposite.

I am thinking about holiday cottages instead of booking them in hotels. My brother can save a lot because they will need two rooms for the three of them. If they opt for a cottage they will feel like they are at home where they can cook their own food and eat together. Also, they can set their own itinerary. And they are not restricted to a single hotel room because they will have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy family time together.

Those are just some of the things I want to tell my brother regarding self catering cottages. It offers a lot of benefits plus he can save some money from it. There are more in my head that is interesting, but I’d rather not to share it because I don’t think it’s feasible. The thing is, I am not sure if my brother wants me to help him. Well, if that is so he would probably say that the last time we talked.

Actually, I like the idea too. If my brother would ask me to help him financed the vacation, then I will have to go with them. It’s been a year and half since I last had a vacation. Besides, I would really choose to stay on self catering holidays rather than in a hotel room especially if I am with my parents.

perfect time to daydream

Since its gloomy day, I feel I have all the right to daydream. Hahaha! It’s the perfect time to lie down and just think of anything worth thinking like destination weddings perhaps. I would love to go to one of Karisma’s collection hotel in the secluded white-sand beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. All I want is their Gourmet-Inclusive concept, designed especially for foodies. Add the elite level of service, luxurious accommodations, invigorating entertainment and the classy snap-to service that responds to discerning travelers’ requests.

I think it would be a very pleasant experience to rest in beach beds with retractable curtains for impromptu moments of ocean-view intimacy; beach side bar swings; dedicated Beach Butlers and design-conscious details all bespeak a private haven of privilege. That would be a great experience for me and for my hubby.

enjoying Kadayawan festival

My parents and I watched the Kadayawan festival last Saturday and Sunday. It’s supposed to be hubby and me, but he had to attend a seminar. That is why I brought my parents with me to enjoy the event. Actually, it has been years since I last watched the event. I don’t like to burn my skin from the scorching heat of the sun. Tropical countries like mine have the tendency to experience high temperature that is harmful to the skin.

Well, I did not bother the hot weather that time. I just want to go out and enjoy the event. Plus, I miss hanging out with my parents. I bought my camera with me to take few memories back. I can use some of the photos for my blogs.

As dad and I take snaps, my mom said that I should capture the legs of the cadet who are doing their drill. She said that they look so cute and so organize. I laugh so hard because I can only take still photos. I don’t have any digital camcorders at all. She forgot that I can’t take moving objects. Funny mom, she even laughs about that after realizing what she said. The event ended well and we are so happy with it.

vacation hits in my head

Another kind of vacation hits my head after reading so many vacation destinations. I can’t help myself, but be interested in spending a day or two in a place different from what I used to have. A magical world like one of those Orlando vacations perhaps is perfect. By the way, I haven’t been to any Disney world. That is so unfortunate and unlucky of me. Good thing, I can always dream about it, right? Let’s just hope I won’t reach the age when it feels like too awkward going there.

thinking to spend vacation?

Ever thinking of where to spend your vacation? Well, you are not alone. One of my girlfriends has been having trouble where to spend her first summer vacation with her current boyfriend. She has been to many Vegas vacations with her family and wants to go somewhere new. Supposedly, this should not be a problem after all. However, her boyfriend wants to visit the place for the first time. She is having problems with it since the expenses will be paid by the guy. She doesn’t know how to tell him directly or indirectly. She is asking me for some advice, which I can’t because I also want to visit the place, if given a chance.
