solving mom’s problem

I still feel too sleepy, thanks to my mom who called at an early hour. Actually, I can’t ignore the phone when she is the one calling or I’ll be in big trouble. Well, she said the house is in big trouble as she discovered some termites eating the woods. It is indeed a big trouble; termites won’t stop eating woods until it’s exhausted. If remained untreated they can severely damage the house. Plus, they do not limit themselves to wood; they also damage paper, cloth, carpets, and other cellulosic materials. The only way to solve mom’s problem is to call an exterminator.

can’t make a move

Having a small space in my parents’ house, it is not surprising to consider furniture and appliances that are space maximizers. One of the things I regard as part of that category is the LCD TV. With it, owners have the flexibility of using a Peerless wall mount, table stand, or Peerless stand. For sure with this kind of tv, the bulky tv stand can go away that will give way to more floor space.

Anyway, there are really a lot of items that can be change inside the house in order to get more floor area. However, it will require a substantial amount of money, which I cannot afford for now. That is the reason, I can’t make a move. Hopefully in the future, I can make a lot of improvement in the house to get an updated look.

Making your Living Room More Livable

By the time you are ready to choose the furniture for the living room, the walls and floor coverings should be in place so that the choice of furniture will be merely the selection of the best out of several possibilities. Of course, the quality, shape and color of furniture vary, and the quantity as well. Imagine you have a more livable living-room than one with a large, soft sofa in front of a fireplace, behind it a long table filled with books, while holding a lamp at either end. Or else, at the end of the sofa, a small table for the reading lamp and on either side a pair of comfortable chairs.

The main essentials are a comfortable sofa, a table large enough to hold books, magazines and lamps, and at least two comfortable, upholstered chairs and a smaller table. While, at the other end or side of the room, a pair of book-cases, cabinets or a credence. These balance the fireplace, since they are placed against the wall and have a corresponding shelf, cornice or mantel line.

In developing the original simple formula there may be added a chaise, a good-size table, another large chair, and another small table. Remember that it is always better to leave a space empty than to have it occupied by a badly placed piece of furniture. Good furniture needs space to be seen to its advantage. One may live in a very big house, a house much better and larger than their previous one, but one striking similarity will still be present in both of them. There is will be one area of the house where space will never be enough. This place is in most cases one of the most important rooms in the house, and is always filled with bits and pieces. This place is the bathroom and one may notice that space is always something that is not available.

The reason behind the above anomaly can be because everyone in the house needs to use the bathroom at almost the same time during the day. Another reason can be because everyone needs to keep something in that room like shaving kits, shampoo bottles, or even the soaps they like. making landscape dramatic look at night

It’s true; I’m not an expert gardener or landscape designer. In fact, I could use a lot of help in that area. But, I do have little knowledge about it. Thanks to blogging, I learned basic landscape stuff for me to distinguish the stuff needed to make a beautiful landscape especially during nighttime.

In order to make a dramatic look at night, one needs to place proper landscape lights. It will bring trees and flowers to life when the darkness hits. Also, it can be used for safety purposes to light up the pathways and stairs after dark.

Well, there are so many types of landscape lights that have different purpose. If you are not sure what you need, it is recommended to ask the experts. I’m sure you don’t want to throw away your hard-earned money by buying the wrong lights. So, it’s better to ask for some help just in case you’re a little confuse.

They showed us what bacteria’s were good and bad for us, as well as what cleaning products are more eco-friendly than others. They even sold a kit for making your very own cleaning products. Here’s how one could consciously maintain a greener kitchen. From the simple tip, to more structural tips, here is what we found:

  • Induction cooktops – Heat is released directly toward the pan or pot only,. Not only does this save a great deal of energy, but the rest of the stovetop isn’t hot.
  • Countertops made from recyclables - Supposedly sleek, these suckers would make for the truest green kitchen out there.
  • Use recyclable products and recycle them - I am a hypocrite sitting in an office that uses styrofoam cups and plates, but I know that we should use paper so that it can be recycled. Growing Tomatoes in your Garden

Not having at least one tomato plant in your garden is like a day without sunshine. The choices are unbelievable but taste – it can’t be beat. Warm, fresh off the vine, washed in cool water and sliced – whether on a hamburger, a sandwich, or in a salad, a tomato adds that “something special” to any meal. A vine-ripened tomato is not only good-tasting, but to see these red globes on a plant that you started from seed or from a tiny purchased plant, is satisfying all by itself.

What is a perfect tomato? Here too opinions vary but most gardeners do conclude that it should be solid, red, and weight between 12-14 ozs. It is not cracked and it has no blemishes. Hybrids seem to produce the best in this category and are more disease-resistant. The soil tomato plants are placed in should be well aerated, clumpy and loose. The health of your tomato plant is very dependent on root health and growth. The harder it is for the roots to push through the more difficult your plant will find it to grow.
