Happy New Year everyone! I know it’s a little late, but it’s better than not saying at all. I got a little busy with the holidays plus, I’m also on duty. I was not able to snatch a little time to update this blog. Anyway, now it’s a new year, I decided to do a little house make over. I toss the old cabinet and bought a new one as well as a shoe rack. Then, I also cleaned our closet and remove all the unnecessary and unused clothes.

After doing that, I noticed some of our wires are cluttered in the floor, which looks so messy. I didn’t notice those before as I’m really busy. But, now that I discovered it, I can’t get it out of my mind. For that matter, I asked hubby to buy wire covers. Cable protectors are a simple and effective cable management and protection solution that can be used at home, in the office or on most job sites. Now I am watching television while surfing the web. Fortunately, I’m tune in Discovery channel’s “Factory made.” Well, it’s not all the time I get to know the process of making a foam mattress. This ordinary and mostly use item doesn’t get much attention. That’s why I feel good whenever I watch something like this. At least I know how it’s made.

Anyhow, I’ll continue watching the rest of the program. Good thing, its advertisement time I was able to write this small post until it resumes. Afterward, I’ll cook some dinner. Hopefully, I can get back here to continue updating this blog.

somewhat their pastime in Kish Iran

Two of my roomies here in Kish, Iran are smokers. Puffing cigarette is somewhat their pastime. In fact, they can finish at least one box of Esse cigarette in a day that has become their trademark. I would love to leave them something to remember me like a box of cigar. Sadly, I don’t have one with me because I left everything back home. I didn’t know that I would meet lovely people that I will learn to love.

Tomorrow, I will leave them and it’s uncertain when we will meet again. I’m still unsure what to give them as a remembrance. Hubby said to give anything I can find, which is not too personal. But, I guess it is better that way other than not having something. Although I’m sure both of them will be happy to get a cigar in a humidor.

It was my fault why hubby’s north face backpack was damaged. It was August of this year that I decided to wash the bag. It’s been four years since it was bought, with all the wear and tear it’s inevitable that dirt accumulates. So, it’s logical to clean it before using again. But, I can’t find the care instruction so I clean it unknowing the right way, which resulted in damage interior. Good thing, the exterior is still in good condition.

However, the damage interior makes hubby feel sad. That bag is expensive and has great sentimental value because it was his first ever north face bag that’s why I’m planning to give him another one. I’m already looking for different north face backpacks in the internet where I find huge discounts on different models. I even find tote bags, which really suits me. Hopefully, I will be able to grab the discount by the time I’m ready to buy the bag.

After a year of dropping from school, brother is still uncertain what he wanted to do with his life. He is just doing what he thinks is enjoyable even if it jeopardizing his future. That’s why mom and dad is keeping close eyes on his actions and continually reminding him that he needs to seriously consider his life ahead. I’m also advising him to find something he likes doing other than the unimportant matters.

From what I noticed, he likes cooking and baking so I encourage him to consider taking up culinary arts. Well, he is not showing any negative reactions to my suggestion. In fact, he is showing interest with it, which is giving us hope. If he succeeds in this course, he can then apply to one of the Pastry/Baker Chef Jobs. That’s how I envision his future will be in this situation. But, he is still the captain of his life so he will be the one making choices. All I hope is the betterment of his future whatever he will become.

scouring the web for new DSLR camera

Since I assume the ownership of the D90 Nikon SLR camera, hubby is on the hunt of a new one again. To make the story short, he turned it over to me. Now, he doesn’t want to use it without my permission. It’s not like I won’t let him, he just doesn’t want to upset me by taking my things without me knowing it. No matter how I try convincing him to use it to his heart’s content, he doesn’t listen. That’s the reason I’m planning on giving him a new camera for Christmas.

While scouring the web, I found the canon eos rebel t1i 15.1 Megapixel Digital SLR Camera Body with Lens Kit – 0.71″-2.17″ at an affordable price. But, I still have to observe whether or not he likes to have this one or not. Although I’m pretty sure he likes to have an SLR. I’m just unsure what model or brand he prefers. That I will discretely uncover in the next couple of days.

great idea to becoming fluent in English

Now that we venture to a foreign country, it is logical for us to be well-verse in English – both in speaking and writing. In terms of writing, I can say its okay. But, in terms of speaking, it can use a lot of improvement. Though I feel I can communicate, I always stutter. Words keep rambling and it’s hard to relay the message I want to send. It only means I need to practice speaking fluently and confidently.

One of the suggestions I found in the net is through continuously familiarize the English. In addition to reading, it’s also a great idea to listen to audio books as well as recording my voice when speaking and reading aloud can help me assess myself. That means I need digital recorders for this matter. But, I still have to read some tips on finding the best recorder because there are hundreds of these in the market. Going through each is exhausting. Well, finding a recorder is just a little challenge as compared to becoming fluent in English without stuttering.

adjusting for my goals

It’s been more than a month, yet I’m still not used to our situation here. Having a lot of people in one room isn’t my thing. I used to have the luxury of having my own space where I can privately retire at the end of the day. But, that is not the trend here because of the high estate cost. The rent of a small room can eat up our entire monthly salary. That’s why one room has at least five people occupying. In our room, it’s seven, which is a bit crowded. But, I’m trying to adapt to this kind of set-up and environment.

Sacrificing now will surely rip good benefits in the end. That’s what I’m keeping in my head. I know this situation will not last forever. After saving money for a house and car, I will probably go home for good. I’m thinking of purchasing one of those manufactured homes because of the benefits it offers. Of course, I also have to consult hubby about it. But, if you would ask me, I prefer it. As for the car, I let hubby decide it. With those two in my goal, I find it logical to adjust and be productive while I am here.

For days, Elaine whines about the situation of her sister. I can feel she is deeply concern to her, which is expected from a kind person. I sense she doesn’t want the girl to go home, but she has little choice. I’m not sure how to comfort her. point of reminiscing

Finally, I already received the good news from the company I applied. They already sent my offer letter stating everything I need to know about the company and the job. I can now rest my head that soon I will be earning. The bad thing, my joining date will start on the 1st of November. It only means I have to renew my tourist visa for this month or else I will have to go back to my country.

Anyway, now that I don’t have anything to do, I’m at the point of reminiscing the past. I remember few of our neighbours and imagining how they might be doing now. Probably the girl I like has now become a dentist as well as her boyfriend. I’m just guessing she is going to build her own dental clinic. Hope she could find discount dental equipment. It’s really helpful to start ups because of the savings she gets. Well, I can’t get that message across because we aren’t that close and I have no way to connect to her. As far as I can remember she is a really busy student and seldom goes out of her house. That’s why we weren’t able to have a nice chit-chat.

Oh well, I will stop there for now. That’s all I want to share this time.
