Despite the fact that nutritionists constantly warn of the dangers of detox diets, especially the Master Cleanse, of which they say it’s no more than a fancy way of starving oneself, they continue to have plenty of followers. Celebrities are the most fervent believers in the benefits of this type of “diets,” and some are even proudly tooting their own horn for sticking with it. Such is the case of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Us Magazine informs.

“The couple that deprives themselves together…? Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have gone on the super-strict Master Cleanse together, they announced on Twitter. The eating plan – which Beyonce also used to slim down for Dreamgirls – features ‘meals’ that consist of maple syrup, lemon water and cayenne pepper. Moore, 47, swears she’s not doing it to lose weight. ‘This is about health!!!’ she Twittered on Sunday,” Us Magazine writes.

“She added shortly after, ‘2nd day of master cleanse and off to hike with hubby and the dogs. 2nd day better than the 1st!’ Still, she may not make it much longer. ‘Let you know if I make it to day 4,’ she told one of her followers. Kutcher, 32, is having an even harder time. ‘9 hrs into the master cleanse. I want a steak, a beer, and a blow-pop. Hmmm this is gonna be rough,’ he wrote Saturday,” the same publication further writes, citing the stars themselves.

At the same time as Lindsay Lohan is reportedly considering an appeal to the 90-day jail sentence she was slapped with the other day, ongoing reports suggest that this may actually be the best thing that has happened to her career in years. For the first interview after she does the time, she could net a cool $1 million – and given she’s been having trouble lately scoring work, this is no small feat, PopEater reports.

“You can bet Lindsay Lohan will have plenty to say when she’s sprung from the joint later this summer, but if you want her for a TV interview you’d better have deep pockets! Sources tell me that deals are already in the works to secure Lindsay’s first post-jailhouse chat for a whopping $1 million. “Paid interviews, while routine in Europe, are still taboo here in the USA. The way major networks get around this is by engaging in ‘licensing’ deals that provide compensation for the rights to personal material, most often video footage or photos. Sources tell me that this is exactly the type of arrangement Lindsay is looking for. ‘Expect to see a major TV and magazine deal,’ a source close to Lindsay tells me. ‘Lindsay might have made a lot of mistakes, but she knows how much her first interview is worth. She won’t even consider offers of less than $1 million’,” the same e-zine says.
