shed those pounds!

We all know that holidays are the worst time to go on diet since it is too difficult to refuse treating yourself with the bountiful and delicious foods on the table. But the aftermath such as popping waistlines and bulging bellies, will last longer than the season itself. It’s too difficult to shed those pounds. Solve the problem by investing your holiday bonuses on fitness equipment and slim quick supplements. All of this will help you get rid of those extra pounds in no time.

Beat the Blow-Dry Blues

Tired of blow-dries that stress your strands and make you want to pull your hair out? Here are some do-it-right tips:

  • Prep your tresses: Drying sopping-wet hair can cause breakage. Instead, first pat gently with a towel until dump, not dripping. Next, shield hair and lock in luster with a product containing strand strengtheners, such as vitamin B (aka panthenol) or soy protein.
  • Protect your ‘do from damage: Skip superhigh heat; only go as hot as you can take on the back of your hand for five seconds. For va-va-voom volume, hold hair at the angle in which it grows: top sections up, side sections out, etc. Move downward from roots to steal in shine and calm flyaways.
  • Make your style stick: When strands feel almost dry, start styling. Wrap hair around your tress tool and hit with high heat for 30 seconds, then blast with cold air to lock shape in place.

The Perfect Brow

Before you pluck or tweeze, begin by mapping where the brow line should be.

  1. Looking straight into mirror, place a pencil vertically along the bone on the left side of your nose; with tweezers, pluck anything that lies to the right of the pencil. Repeat on the right side, removing hairs that lie to the left of the pencil. The space between the brows should be equal to, or a little smaller than, the width of your eye.
  2. Next place the pencil directly along the outer corner of your pupil. Where the pencil meets the brows is where the arch should be – ideally three-quarters along the brow.
  3. To determine length, place the pencil diagonally from bottom of nose toward temple. This is where brow should end. Trim long hairs with scissors; groom with brush.

sensitive skin

It is a misconception that sensitive skin which is easily irritated is for young ones. The truth is, as we age our skin actually becomes more sensitive than it was before. Reality is that, as we age our skin also age and weakens our natural resistance against external factor. Surveys show that older skin becomes more vulnerable and reactive to sudden temperature changes, heavy winds, dusts and even make-up causing skin irritation and acne problems Thus, proper skin care regimen is a must as we grow older.

Good bra!

Ladies here are key guidelines to get the best fitting bra, in case you don’t know it:

The bra band shouldn’t ride up in the back. If it does, the bra is too big.

The bra should fit snugly around your body – if you’re like most women it means it should be far tighter than you’re wearing it now. General rule for band size, which provides 90 percent of a bra’s support: if you wear a size 8 or 10 top, you are likely to wear a size 34 bra; a 12 to 14 top needs a 36 and so on.

Don’t over tighten straps which provide 10% of support. If they fall of your shoulders, they’re too slack; if they dig in and leave marks, they’re too tight.

Buy bra that fits when it’s hooked on the loosest, not the tightest row since bras stretch over time. If it’s loose, it can’t lift. You want to leave yourself away to tighten things up a few months later.

Selecting your scent!

When Coco Chanel said, “A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future,” she referred to perfume as a powerful source of influence. Thanks to the Egyptians who invented the fragrant elixir, we can now wonder about the world not only looking our best but smiling wonderfully too! Now, all you need to own is your signature scent. There are countless concoctions just as there is myriad of extracts from which these tonics are formulated. Your choice can easily determine by what mirrors your mood or personality, including the occasion in which you find yourself.

Look Good in 60 Seconds

Girls here are some quick trick to get you ready to face the whole world beautifully – in a mere minute

Edit Your Makeup You can get a great, polished look with just three products 1. Even out skin tone with tinted moisturizer, dabbing on a little extra over dark circles or blemishes. Choose one with SPF and you’ll protect, hydrate, and add sheer coverage in one step, with no special tool. Swipe on a neutral lip gloss. It makes lips look full and healthy and adds color so subtle; you don’t need a mirror to apply it. 2.3. Finish off with a coat of brown mascara.

Brighten Up Add some cheek color. A light dusting of peachy, apricot brush works for nearly all skin tones and brings your whole face to life.

Hide Roots Need to disguise a few wiry white strays? If you can’t get to your color-list anytime soon, try brushing brown or black mascara on the problematic strands.

Skip Shampoo No time for the real deal? Roughly blow-dry your hair for a few minutes to blast away odor then sprits strands with a hair refresher, which contains less alcohol then regular perfumes so it won’t dry your locks. Beauty extra: If your hair feels greasy, use regular baby powder to zap excess oil on your scalp – but use it sparingly so you won’t leave visible traces of the white powder on your hair and scalp.

Sidestep Blow-drying If careful styling is not in the cards, pull hair into a sleek, low ponytail.
