trying to set things accordingly

Oh my, it feels like ages since the last time I posted something here. Well, I get too busy with my new day job that leaves me sometimes breathless at the end of the day – that’s a little exaggerated of course. But, the busy thing is really true. I’m not even aware of the latest showbiz buzz, which is my favorite topic. Or I can’t even take time to call mom or dad also because of the time zone difference. Well, I will try to set things accordingly.

Anyway, yesterday I received a call from mom saying that today is my youngest brother’s graduation day. That information takes some time before it sinks in. It was only today when I take little moment to visit my Facebook page and saw loads of graduation pictures from different people. It was then I realize that it’s a special day and thought of a gift for them. My brother used to collect yoyo that’s why I find myself at yoyo factory website. I could get him at least four more for his collection. But, I will have to find the best design first to make it more special or I could have it personalize if that is possible.

World’s Longest Hair wanted by 55yo Chinese Woman

One Chinese woman is already a real-life Rapunzel but, in the coming years, she wants the Guinness Book of World Records to also attest it. She hasn’t cut her hair since she was 14. She’s 55 now. Ni Linmei has been growing out her hair for so much time that she also plans of making a buck off it and, no, it doesn’t imply selling it for hair extensions even though would probably make her richer by a lot. Instead, she wants to grow it some more and, in a few years, to apply for the Guinness Book of World Records.

One photo shows Linmei after she combed her hair, an operation that is quite tricky given its length, with the main wrapped in a protective piece of clothing. Of course, she’s not the only woman to make headlines for growing out something others like to keep very short. Just recently, we were talking about Chris Walton, the current holder of the title of world’s longest nails.

As it was informed, Walton stopped clipping her fingernails, allowing them instead to grow freely. She says her life is normal even though she has nails that could forbid her from doing anything even remotely “normal.” She cooks, she drives, she does the laundry, and she does chores around the house, the whole 9 yards. Plastic Surgeon’s Daughter Surgery at 10

In the land of all possibilities, there’s no such thing as too young for plastic surgery. Dr. Michael Niccole, a guest on the latest segment 20/20 on ABC with Barbara Walters, is just the guy to explain to you how that works. Walters, no stranger to plastic surgery herself, seeks to tackle a very delicate question about this type of procedures: when it is too young to have one done, or is age no limit for it?

In the video, before introducing the case of one particular plastic surgeon in California, she says that, right now, plastic surgery is no longer referred to as such, but rather as cosmetic augmentation, perhaps in a bid to create the impression that it’s boosting, improving, if you will, something that’s already there.

Plastic surgery also carries with the connotation of something being cut to be altered, and that’s no longer the case these days: fillers, botox and other beauty procedures are done without a scalpel. This brings her to the story of one Dr. Niccole: not only is he a father, but he is also his daughters’ personal plastic surgery. When Charm, who is now only 23, told him that she was unhappy about her belly button, he had it fixed for her. She was just 10 at the time.

The other girl, Brittani, who is also 23, had him give her larger breasts the moment she turned 18, that is, she was of legal age. [Read more...]

Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year everyone! I know it’s a little late, but it’s better than not saying at all. I got a little busy with the holidays plus, I’m also on duty. I was not able to snatch a little time to update this blog. Anyway, now it’s a new year, I decided to do a little house make over. I toss the old cabinet and bought a new one as well as a shoe rack. Then, I also cleaned our closet and remove all the unnecessary and unused clothes.

After doing that, I noticed some of our wires are cluttered in the floor, which looks so messy. I didn’t notice those before as I’m really busy. But, now that I discovered it, I can’t get it out of my mind. For that matter, I asked hubby to buy wire covers. Cable protectors are a simple and effective cable management and protection solution that can be used at home, in the office or on most job sites. Cable covers provide protection to valuable cables, hoses and wires, reduce tripping hazards, while keeping floor cables neatly concealed. Regardless of the type of installation needed, the traffic volume, or the budget, cable protectors are a great option in keeping the cables and wires in good condition.

beauty within you

Do you know that you are a unique person with a special kind of God gifted beauty which no other person possesses. That beauty is something very personal and individual. You must acknowledge that “hidden” beauty within you to know your own worth as a beautiful person.

Beauty is something which can neither be measured by any scale nor can be described in words. It’s an impression which one leaves on others and that impression is the true reflection of many fine characteristics of one’s own personality. We call it “inner beauty”. I have devoted a full Section of my site to “Beauty and Wellness” articles.

If in doubt about your beauty, you may be suffering from some kind of inferiority complex thus badly affecting your professional and family life. Don’t let the negative forces to ruin your life. Be confident about yourself.

Look straight in the mirror and say with full confidence “I am beautiful”. Wait and let the mirror say “you are beautiful”. On your way to job, shopping or social engagements, keep repeating “I am beautiful” and let others say “you are beautiful”. Your eyes, ears, nose, lips and even the pores of your skin must say “I am beautiful”. This type of confidence about your own beauty will leave no option to others but to admit that you are beautiful. [Read more...]

while watching Discovery Channel

Now I am watching television while surfing the web. Fortunately, I’m tune in Discovery channel’s “Factory made.” Well, it’s not all the time I get to know the process of making a foam mattress. This ordinary and mostly use item doesn’t get much attention. That’s why I feel good whenever I watch something like this. At least I know how it’s made.

Anyhow, I’ll continue watching the rest of the program. Good thing, its advertisement time I was able to write this small post until it resumes. Afterward, I’ll cook some dinner. Hopefully, I can get back here to continue updating this blog.

choosing the ironing board to buy

Ironing is one of the many household functions that people usually find overwhelming. It is the task of removing wrinkles from clothes (such as shirts, pants or trousers, and skirts) with the use of a heated tool, called an “iron” (modern designs that are available nowadays, however, are no longer made of iron).

Another ironing tool that goes with the iron is the ironing board. This is where most ironing is done, and it is generally a portable, narrow-padded board with a heat resistant top and supports that can usually be folded up.

Ironing boards are just as important in ironing as the iron. A good ironing boards can add to your convenience, making the seemingly difficult task of ironing a bearable one. It is therefore important that you choose an ironing board that would best suit your needs, and the following general guidelines will be able to help you by identifying the things that you should look for when choosing the ironing board to buy.

  • Size - if possible, choose the widest ironing board that you can find for a more effective ironing. A full-size ironing board is one that is at least 4 feet long and 12 to 18 inches wide.
  • Height - most people prefer to do their ironing while standing up. Standing up for a long time, however, could result to back strain. To minimize this, it is recommended that the ironing board should at least rise to about your hip level.
  • Mobility - another thing to consider when choosing an ironing board is the available space in your home. In general, there are 2 types of ironing board – the built-in and the portable. [Read more...]
