not ready to see wrinkles and age spots

Frankly speaking, I’m not afraid to grow old. In fact, I find it a blessing to reach older age. But, the thought of having age spots and wrinkles today is really scary. I’m still unprepared to look old especially at my age of 28. I’m just about to start my family life and life as a whole. My face is already crowded with other blemishes and still trying to rid of them. So, adding wrinkles and age spots to my already dreaded problems could ultimately mean disaster.

For that matter, I’m not taking any chances. Keenly following different tips to prevent those from occurring is my objective. Using sunscreen and avoiding too much sun can greatly help. I don’t really like being under the sun in the first place so it’s no problem. We all know the main culprit that causes age spots and wrinkles to occur is the sun’s UV rays. Avoiding the sun when it is most damaging is the best. In addition, using good moisturizers can prevent wrinkles from forming.

Preventing those Gum Diseases

If you have either gingivitis or periodontitis, there are several effective treatments. These treatments involve deep cleaning to remove plaque and tartar from above and below the gum line. This is called SRP, which stands for “Scaling and Root Planning.” Scaling and Root Planning, or SRP, is a non-invasive procedure. The degree of cleaning, and the amount of time the procedure takes, depends on the degree of disease in the individual patient.

There are also prescription drugs available. The most popular is called Periostat, and has been used effectually since 1998. Periostat – which is a pill – suppresses an enzyme (called collagenase), which contributes to the destruction of the teeth and gums. Often, Periostat is taken in conjunction with an SRP procedure.

Of course, the best treatment against gum disease is to never have it in the first place. That’s why dentists focus on prevention as much as possible. Your dentist can give you a personalized dental health plan to follow. Typically, this includes regular brushing and flossing, as well as the use of special mouthwashes. [Read more...]

monitoring sister’s career plan

My sister and I rarely talk about our future plan. She is a secretive type of person, who doesn’t like to share her ideals in life. But, I gathered my confidence to ask her about her career plans. I feel like I have the right to monitor her after spending four years of my life sending her to college for a degree. I’m not up to anything; I just want to make sure she is making the most of the education I provide her.

Surprisingly, she said she wanted to have one of those sales jobs she applied to. I’m not against it or anything of that sort just that I’m not sure if she has the right background for it. One way or the other, having a particular job coincide with the college course you obtained. But, since she likes to be part of the sales world, then I will support her. I live it all up to her convincing power to sell her talents and skill to prospective employers. I’m confident she can do that in her own ways.

laziness gives me hard time

Laziness is indeed giving me a hard time dealing with my task. I’m supposed to finish so many things, yet I end up surfing the web for interesting topic like Topamax lawsuit. Basically, Topamax is an anti-convulsant used to treat epileptic seizures in children and adults, and is also prescribed to prevent migraine headaches. But, females of childbearing age and expectant mothers against using anticonvulsant drug Topamax are warned of the possible side-effects of the product. It poses the risk of developing of cleft lips or cleft palate deformities in their newborns.

However, if this condition happens, then the family can file a lawsuit with the help of O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath law office. Their attorneys understand that the child’s injuries may not be the mother’s fault – instead, possibly a dangerous side-effect of Topamax. Their expertise and experience, combined with their highly trained staff, make them uniquely well-equipped to handle even the most complex products liability claims.

Eating Potato Skins Health Benefits

Essentially, potatoes are a versatile carbohydrate source that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The tuber is a low calorie food high in vitamin C, vitamin B and beneficial iron. But it’s not just the meat of the potato; potato skins are high in fiber and other vital nutrients. Potatoes are low in calories, fat-free and cholesterol-free. A medium-sized potato contains only 100 calories per serving. Potatoes also are low in carbohydrates, weighing in at about 26 grams or 9 percent of the daily allowance. Tubers are a low sodium, low sugar food. A low calorie, nutritious diet is the foundation of any weight loss program. Diets low in sodium can help reduce the risk of stroke and high blood pressure.

Potato skins offer 2 grams of fiber per serving, about 8 percent of the recommended daily allowance. Potatoes contain as much fiber as foods like whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread and other fiber-rich whole grain products. Eating fiber helps lower the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Fiber also helps lower cholesterol, control blood sugar levels and create a feeling of fullness, which aids weight loss. The naturally occurring substance found in legumes, whole grains, vegetables and fruits can relieve or prevent constipation by promoting the movement of materials through your digestive tract.

One whole potato with skin contains 45 percent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C. The skin itself contains about 9 percent of the recommended daily allowance. Vitamin C helps to heal wounds and is high in cancer-fighting antioxidants. The vitamin also helps boost your immune system, allowing you to fight off disease.

Guidelines to Ease Acne Breakouts

One of the main daily routines to help with acne breakouts is washing your face or outbreak areas twice a day. It is vitally important to keep your skin clean. The way and the products you use to wash your face are also important.

Wash your face GENTLY at least twice a day and after any strenuous exercise that has caused perspiration. Do not SCRUB your face or skin. This actually can cause more harm than good and can even inflame your pimples.

Use a very mild soap like Neutrogena. Do not use anything that makes your skin feel overly dry. It is not necessary to use an astringent, yet if you do, only use it where your skin is very oily. If you visit a dermatologist, he/she should be able to recommend the best soap for your particular acne symptoms.

Do not excessively handle your skin. Your hands have bacteria on them and can cause the acne to get even worse. In other words, DO NOT pick at your pimples. I know that it is very hard not to do, yet it is very good advice. Only a doctor, with special instruments can effectively “pick” at pimples in a way that will not cause more inflammation and excessive scarring.

Use a special sunscreen that is at least spf15 and is non-comedogenic, non-oily, which means it does not clog pores. A good sunscreen for acne sufferers is Neutrogena SPF 45 Sunblock with Parsol 1789. You should always try to avoid tanning and sunburn because both could cause acne pimples and acne scars to become even more noticeable. [Read more...]
