my plans to improve the house

My parents have lots of plans after hearing that I am going back to their house. It’s quite funny because they act as if I am the prodigal daughter who will be returning home and they must welcome me with warm embrace or something like that. The truth is, I just give myself a chance to fall in love. I will be returning not because I realize I made a mistake, but its part of the bigger plan.

Anyway, since there are lots of rearranging going on to give my stuff some room, I also have a plan. I noticed that their window needs a little touch up. Since mom doesn’t like window blinds and she will really stand tall for it, I think a roman type roller blinds is perfect. It will give the window a fun and classy look. I found a simple classic roller shade, but with a modern twist in the web early this morning while I search for home improvement tips. For sure my mom would love the many colors, materials, and weaves available that would fit the design of our home and budget. I can’t wait to tell mom about it.

reason to be concern

Honestly speaking, buying life insurance is something that I want to do when I get older. However, that mind set changes when I meet my partner. Now I have more reason to be concerned with our future. The idea or questions of “what will happen” if I have an untimely death sinks in as I grow with him every day. What will happen to my kids? Who will take care of them? What will be their source of income? And many more questions bug me every day.

That is why I continue to get life insurance rate from different companies for me to have more options. But, until now I still don’t have one. Unfortunately, the rates given to me are way too high for my current status. I could not pay a monthly premium that will take all my income. That’s why I am still waiting for a rate that suits my budget, but my need as well. Hopefully that will find that soon.

want to sell old jewelry for new one

I would have to admit that I’m tempted to Sell Jewelry, those old ones of course. Even if I am not a savvy jewelry lover, I know that some of my pieces are outdated especially those that are somewhat fashion like. And selling them for new ones is such a wonderful idea.

The only problem I have, those that I want to sell are given to me as a gift from my dad, mom and hubby. How can I sell things that are given to me? I know I would hurt them if they will learn the selling. Other than that, it means so much to me to be given items like this.

I’m actually in a dilemma right now. I’m torn between getting new jewelry pieces or continue giving value to the things given to me. Well, if only I have sufficient money to buy another set of jewelries, I wouldn’t ever think of selling the old ones. Unfortunately, I don’t have that much and I feel it’s a waste keeping something that I rarely use. Hopefully, I’ll be able to come up with a very good decision in the next few days.
