part of my concerns

Part of my concerns nowadays, is whether to finally get a master’s degree or not. I am confused about it because I also have plans not to continue working in a corporate world. Part of my plans is to put up a business of my own and it doesn’t require too much accreditation, I think.

The thing is, I am really interested to take up even one online university degree in Capella University. I remember I mentioned that before. Basically, Capella University is an accredited, fully online university and the leading online graduate school for working adults. It offers graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, psychology, public health, and public safety, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology, and public safety. Currently there are 109 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 15 certificate programs.

I am really confused as of the moment. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make up my mind before the year ends.

Devastating Typhoon Flooded Manila, Philippines

Devastating Typhoon Flooded Manila, PhilippinesTyphoon Ondoy devastate most of Manila area. And it hurts to see my fellow Filipino suffers from the floods brought by it. The most painful part is that I can’t even do anything. I want to donate something, but my bank account is also zero. Many people lost their homes and some even lost their lives.

Is this what we call climate change? It could be. Where on earth that amount of water came from? It’s good for 30 days rain. Why does it poured in one day? The report says that the last time the area experienced this tragic event was last 40 years ago. The sadder part is that there is another typhoon coming that might hit them again in the next couple of days.

I humbly ask you guys to help us pray for those who suffer from the typhoon especially for those people who lost their lives.

basics of body temperature

Most people know that normal body temperature is approximately 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius). Anything higher is considered a fever. Small changes in body temperature are usually not serious.  Temperature can fluctuate depending on the time of day or one’s level of activity. In the case of illness, a moderate rise in temperature may help the body fight some types of infection. Above a certain level, however, temperature must be controlled.

Fever of 106 degrees Fahrenheit or higher (in adults) is extremely serious and demands immediate medical attention. If the temperature remains at this level for a prolonged period of time, seizures, brain damage, even death, can result. In children, temperatures above 104 degrees Fahrenheit can cause damage to the more sensitive brain tissue.

For more typical fevers, such as those that accompany a common cold or flu, Western medicine recommends aspirin, or acetaminophen, and cool compress. However, the tribal people of Africa’s Kalahari use the root of the devil’s claw plant to fight high fevers. The plant has the anti-inflammatory properties of cortisone and may reduce brain tissue swelling that accompanies some bacterial infections. The Africans either boil it into a tea or pound it into a powder.

searching for feasible business

I have been dealing with the thought that soon I’ll be calling myself a business woman. I can’t wait for that day to come. For now we are on the lookout as to the most feasible type of business that suits our need, lifestyle and taste.

Part of our list is to invest in vending machines. I consider this type of business because there are several benefits it offers. Below are as follows:

  • Vending machines are a 100% cash business
  • Vending routes require no additional employees
  • Vending routes require no rent for an office or additional utilities fees
  • There are significant tax advantages to being self-employed
  • A Vending business allows you to work from home and set your own hours
  • Bulk candy vending machines do their own advertising.

With all that it is really interesting. One thing that pushed me to include it in our list is that we haven’t seen lots of these machines in town. These are only seen in the restrooms for tissues and sanitary napkins. It is such a waste to just put these machines in those areas only. Getting them outside is a new thing in our city.

learning the term “Cyber Monday”

I really love shopping. It is my favorite thing as compared to nature tripping or hiking or mountain climbing. But, I would not opt to shop online because since many online stores do not cater international shipping. I only settle in traditional brick and mortar stores. That is the reason I don’t know much of the online shopping terms.

Earlier this day, I fetched the term Cyber Monday as I go around some of my blogger friend. Sounds it is related to gadgets and electronics. But, I learned the meaning in the dictionary. And for some who doesn’t know the meaning like me, it goes like this, “The term Cyber Monday refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday, the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season in the United States between Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

There it goes. Another thing that hinders me from knowing it is that it is mostly used in the US. And I am continents away.

perfect time to daydream

Since its gloomy day, I feel I have all the right to daydream. Hahaha! It’s the perfect time to lie down and just think of anything worth thinking like destination weddings perhaps. I would love to go to one of Karisma’s collection hotel in the secluded white-sand beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. All I want is their Gourmet-Inclusive concept, designed especially for foodies. Add the elite level of service, luxurious accommodations, invigorating entertainment and the classy snap-to service that responds to discerning travelers’ requests.

I think it would be a very pleasant experience to rest in beach beds with retractable curtains for impromptu moments of ocean-view intimacy; beach side bar swings; dedicated Beach Butlers and design-conscious details all bespeak a private haven of privilege. That would be a great experience for me and for my hubby.
