Tips for a Successful Marketing Campaign

Tips for a Successful Marketing CampaignOften time there can be too little difference between average and profitable marketing campaigns. However the difference between them is immense. Here are my some tips to ensure success for your marketing campaign.

  • Promote to the right audience. If your campaign is to succeed it must be aimed at the right people. That is people that are willing and able to respond. In other words they have a need/want for your product/service and the money and authority to buy it. You need to know exactly who you are after and make sure the promotional medium you use is correct. So if you’re selling something to Accountants then you need a list of Accountants to make your offer to.
  • Set up a follow-up system. Rarely will you make a sale the first time you come into contact with a potential customer. Stats show you may need up to 7 contacts before they buy. So you must have a follow-up system in place for your campaign. Get their email address and permission to stay in touch and make sure you do. Follow-up with useful information for them and you will increase your sales. [Read more...]

nerve wracking experience

Every time I read articles relating to emergency lights, I always remember my previous work as a customer service officer. It’s not the actual job title; I keep it a secret by the way. That job requires me to handle all everything in line with branches growth. But, as time passed by, I began to focus on the operations alone and forget other stuff like security systems and safety features. I can’t blame anybody as I pose to be a strict superior. My subordinates can’t seem to tell me that I am missing something.

For two years of handling two branches I never experienced being audited by the fire bureau department. Until one time, I got a surprise visit. It’s like a rock hit my head since they found so many offences in my office such no exit signs, emergency lights and an expired fire extinguisher. Good thing I have a good reason for not having an emergency exit. I told the inspector that it’s the lessors responsibility from the beginning of the building construction. And I can’t decide for that renovation. So, I was able to get away from it.

In the back of my mind, I knew something must be done before they arrived in my doorstep. But, I am not sure what it is until they gave me a visit. I am faced with a bigger and more expensive problem than buying the right emergency lighting. Aside from the whopping penalties I have to pay, I am now obligated to answer several questions. And I must be able to give the right answers or else they will shut down one of my branch. I think it’s so cruel, but that is the law they impose.

Well, I personally gave them a visit. And gladly I was able to answer all their questions. It saves my branch. Of course, it took a huge chunk of money from my supposedly revenue for the month. The big bosses are so mad, but I become a role model for them to set up the right safety measures in all stores. Anyway, it was a nerve wracking experience for me. But, still lucky that I was able to save my store from closure.

birthday presence

Last July 28, 2009 we celebrated my youngest brother birthday. He actually asked for gifts from all of us. He said that he wants that all gifts must be wrapped by cute kiddie wrappers. Since the celebrant specifically requested it, it is our duty to make it come true. Well, I really don’t have any idea what to give my brother as he no longer like toys. He is much more interested in playing online games rather than cute toys.

Good thing hubby suggested that we should give him a pair of shoes like Dansko. We know that he has shoes; it’s good to be different. I planned to give him PSP, but I did not pursue the idea. He used to bring his toys at school that is why a gadget like that is a bad idea. Shoes are better since he can use it at school.

trying to curb my appetite

No matter how I tell hubby that I gained weight, he just doesn’t notice it. I told him that I did gain weight a long time from now. I tried everything to curb my appetite, but it doesn’t seem to work at all. I can’t seem to get rid of my accumulated fats that easily. I think it would be a painful battle for me. But, somebody gives me the idea of using diet pills. That is why I am behaving accordingly so that hubby will say yes. It’s difficult to convince my man especially if he has his reasons. I do have my reasons, but I know based on my experience that it pays to be a good wife. Hahaha!
