more reason to buy jewelryNow I have more reason to buy costume jewelry. I am going back to work in the next couple of months. A little accessory will complete the look. So, I am in the lookout for a pair of earrings. I went to different online shops to scout for a piece. But, I am hooked at Holsted Jewelers provider of designer jewelry, gifts and accessories. Their items look so good. I also learned that they adhere to strict quality-assurance guidelines assure every item is created to the highest standards, and then inspected twice before delivering. They offer wide assortment, from tried-and-true classics to cutting-edge designs. There are a number of fashionable designs that I love, but I should pick only one for now.

does smoking prevent allergies?

information, thoughts and ideas, trivia No Comments »

does smoking prevent allergiesWe know for the fact that smoking is extremely damaging to the health of both the smoker and those around him or her. Still, new study comes to show that even if smoking can cause lung cancer and pulmonary diseases, and decrease the response time of the immune system when dealing with infections, it can also prevent allergies.

Basically, cigarette smoke can decrease the reaction of the immune cells when allergens are present, which means the body does not have an allergic reaction, researchers have established after analyzing the response of mast cells in mice. Oddly enough, even if cigarette smoke does that and literally prevents an allergy, it is said not to influence the other functions of the cells – nevertheless, plenty of stress might be placed on that this should be by no means reason enough to start smoking.

Again, this research should not be used as an excuse to start smoking, they just points out the direction of understanding why the allergic response in smokers is lower than in non-smokers. Further studies will aim to establish this connection, but only after researchers prove that what they noticed in mice mast cells also applies to the human body when exposed to cigarette smoke.

excited and nervous towards getting a job

excited and nervous towards getting a jobAs of now, I am feeling both excited and nervous towards getting a job. I am excited because at last I will be back in the limelight. I will get to have a career again. But, I am nervous because of the process. Going to different companies selling my skills and abilities is a difficult thing for me to do. It could be because I don’t believe in myself that much. I don’t have the confidence that I can do the kind of work I want to apply. But, I can’t back-out now. I have to do this and be courageous for my own good.

excited to meet her little wonder

excited to meet her little wonderNot long ago, a friend of mine gives birth to a beautiful girl. I heard the news from our past colleague that is still connected with the company she is working. After my resignation, I lost contact with her since she changes her number. But, now one way or the other I will get her number. I will buy baby gifts for her little bundle of joy and I can’t wait for that event.

I don’t have to go anywhere since I can find everything tot-related in Babynest. From sentimental, personalized baby and nursery essentials to unique favors for a stylish baby shower, all of which are available. I am excited to meet, for the very first time, her little wonder.

grocery saving tips

Grocery cartI’m sure you are sick of grocery shopping busting your budget and your diet – before you even hit the checkout line!  Here are some top fabulous & frugal shopping tips that will benefit your body – and your wallet!

  • Never Shop Without a Shopping List! Yes, it takes a few extra minutes. But planning ahead will save you more than just a few extra dollars! Think about your schedule for the week to come and how many meals you’ll need to make, including snacks and bringing your lunch to work.  Over the weekend look over store circulars to see what’s on sale, and plan meals around these items.  Before leaving the house, create a list of ingredients and stick to it!
  • Be cautious with coupons! Most coupons are for processed food – you may have noticed it is rare to come across a “manufacturer’s coupon” for fresh fruits, veggies or whole grains. Don’t use a coupon as an excuse to waste money on an unhealthy snack you don’t need.  Fill up your cart with whole foods first, and save money and calories by skipping junk purchases!
  • No Kidding Around! I can’t tell you how many extra boxes of crackers and cookies I’ve ended up with just because I’ve been desperate to keep my wee ones occupied at the grocery.  If you’re shopping with your tots, be sure to bring snacks and a toy from home to keep them distracted without adding to your bill.
  • Never Shop On An Empty Stomach! Shopping after you’ve eaten a snack or protein bar will help you stick to your list and control the urge to purchase extra treats!
  • Store Brands Go Organic! The good news for those of us who like organic food but not the high price tag that goes with them: many big grocery chains now have their own “in house” organic lines! Sure, the labels may not be as inviting as the more famous brands — but your body won’t know the difference.  Food needs to meet certain standards to be labeled “Organic” so you know you’re still getting the real deal, just at a discounted price.

my super busy friend

my super busy friendAt last I got a chance to talk to my super busy friend. Although our conversation is just on YM, I feel so good to have heard about him. Actually, hubby is a bit jealous towards him when he is not supposed to feel that way. We are friends for almost nine years from now and we are just friends during that time. There are so many good memories we have shared together with our other troops. I think it would be for long before we meet personally since he keeps on traveling every now and then. I am just happy to know that we are still friends.

spending quality time with your familyHaving a family doesn’t only mean feeding them every now and then. It also means spending quality time enjoying nature and relaxing with them. If not, everything will just fall apart before it becomes noticeable. No matter how busy we could be, we can take a family vacation once every year. It is the best way to tighten the family bond.

There are lots of choices to spend the vacation. It could be in a small resort or in all-inclusive resort. The Azul Beach Hotel located at secluded white-sand beaches on the Mexican Riviera Maya is one of the many all-inclusive resorts. It offers families a new way to vacation. Parents are pampered with adult-sized indulgences as well as extras like strollers, cribs, baby milk heaters, beach games, coloring books, refrigerators for milk and medicines, and even kid-sized bathrobes. The food and activities fit any kind of family. With all of that, the family can truly enjoy being with each other.
