problem with internet service provider

Last May 23, hubby and I ordered an internet service in one of our local internet service provider. However, up until now we haven’t heard anything from them. We already went to two of their branches, but they could not give us the answers that we need. They just advise us to follow up them every now and then. We gave up! I think there is no way that internet will materialize.

Another problem is that there are no cable or DSL internet connections available in our area. So, we decided to return to our old satellite internet provider in our old place. All we have to do is requests for re-installation and transfer our old account.

Well, there is not much Satellite Internet I know here in my country. But, I know there are many in the US area like wild blue that has this service. Wild Blue internet service is virtually available anywhere within the contiguous US. It’s best for areas where cable and DSL internet service is not available and it is 30 times faster than dial-up. There is no problem staying connected 24 hours a day.

We process everything before the day ends. And we are advice to wait for five to seven working days before the equipment gets installed. But, that is okay so long they keep their word. I can’t wait to have my own internet.

Venezuelan Banned Coke Zero?

venezuelan-banned-coke-zeroOne of the best-selling soda brands in the world is Coca Cola, but that’s not to say that its many variants are welcome all across the world to the same extent. Report says that Venezuelan government is urging Coca Cola to pull its Coke Zero beverage off the market for posing yet unspecified health dangers to the citizens of the country. This was launched in Venezuela in April and it stumbled across serious obstacles ever since it was introduced on the market, with the regional bottler facing a wave of complaints from workers. Given the heavy nationalization promoted by the government and Hugo Chavez, as well as the intense scrutiny in all American businesses, the request to have Coke Zero withdrawn should not come as a complete surprise.

Mantilla told the news that the product should be withdrawn from circulation to preserve the health of Venezuelans. Coca Cola has not yet responded in any way to the request. Even with this setback, Coca Cola continues to be a favorite with most consumers. As we were also telling you a short while back, the company launched a new, admittedly healthier variant in Japan, a country where it is the market leader by far. Coming to meet increasing demand from the public, but also to counteract similar plans from rival Pepsi, the soft drink giant launched a green tea flavored Cola that will reportedly target healthy-conscious young women who are not willing to compromise great taste for a healthy beverage.

as mentioned in earlier post

I mentioned in my earlier post that my parents are indirectly asking for patio furniture. That pushed me to scout the furniture shops and even malls to get an affordable one. It’s not easy to look for something that is reasonably priced, but has high quality.

I have seen lots of elegant patio furniture with cushion. It’s very attractive and beautiful. And I want to buy it. But, if I decided to get those I would definitely need extra cash for patio furniture covers. That’s another expense that I have to make in case I will pick that. At this time I can’t make extra or I can’t even buy another thing. I am way beyond my expense limit. Probably the next couple of months I will be able to get them. But, let’s just see about that.

relaxing while sipping coffee

We don’t have much of a backyard. But, my parents really love to seat outside and breathe some fresh air every morning and afternoon. They already have a plastic chair to comfortable relax while sipping some coffee. Indirectly, but they are asking for a couple of patio chairs that are good looking and presentable where they can invite some of their friends to have some coffee or tea. I am a bit pressured with that since I already bought a new dining set for them last two days. Well, it’s my parents request and I can’t say no to them, I still have to work for that. They have lots of request and I have no intentions of turning them down now. I already gave them lots of headache and heartaches before and I think that is enough.

Home Cleaning Tips

Got ink on your nice carpet? Don’t panic.  Blot up the ink with a cloth or blotter.  Next, take a sponge and wet it with a solution of Lysol and Water (ratio 1 teaspoon Lysol to 1 Quart water) gently sponge area till ink is gone.  Get clean sponge and rinse with water and then dry.

Did puppy have an accident? Sponge the area with a solution of 1/2 cup of white vinegar in a quart of warm water.  May need repeat application.

Chewing gum stuck on carpet? Rub the area with ice cubes till gum is ice cold.  Scrape up with a spatula.  If stain is still there, you can try using a dry cleaning fluid.

Nail Polish spill? Use nail polish remover, but apply with an eye dropper.  Wait a few minutes, and wip with a clean, dry cloth.

Kids leave a red lollipop to melt on your carpet? Or a popsicle? Remove the food item, and then sponge with warm water.  If this doesn’t work, take a teaspoon of very mild detergent (like ivory snow or drift) and mix in a 1/2 pint of water.  Sponge this on with lukewarm water.

Cigarette burns? Clip the ends of the blackened tufts. Rub the spot with water and a soap less cleaner.

it’s good to be home

It’s good to be at home again. Actually, it has been three weeks from the day I returned. I have been away for a year. And I miss this place a lot, the slow phasing lifestyle, cheap food, less traffic and playing games with my little brothers.

Well, speaking of games. My brother who is next to me is thinking of buying Wii accessories after getting the damage game console. He left it in the store because he is mad to my other brother who broke it while playing. That brother of mine really has a temper that he can’t control. And, one way or the other he has a way to break things. I hope he will grow up as soon as possible and hope that the unit will be here.

while watching television

I am watching television, but the sad thing is that the girls in the program are so slim. They have slim curvaceous body that I used to have. I mentioned in my earlier post that I am not that big anymore. I already loss weight thanks to the many stress I experience. But, seriously I still have problem areas that I am not proud of.

I am continually looking and reading best diet pills reviews. I don’t intend to use it now. The point is that, I have the tendency to gain weight due to my slow metabolism that is why I want to prepare for that. Plus, I want to get rid of the problem areas that are difficult to manage. My search will not stop that is sure.
