Vinegar for Gardening Benefits
vacation with you family
Spending a vacation with the entire family is such a wonderful activity. I have known a place that offers Kid friendly hotel. I just recently checked Karisma Hotels on the web. Just for some information that I can share to my friends. Karisma Hotels is a collection of divinely favored properties on secluded white-sand beaches on the Mexican Riviera Maya. They offer Gourmet-Inclusive and luxury all-inclusive concept that you and your family will enjoy. Each of this resort presents its own surprising indulgences and the elite level of service that makes a vacation truly relaxing. It sounds really exciting and fun. I can’t wait to experience this level of service. I just wonder when this will happen.
amazing skills and talents
I am really amazed, when I watch breakdance video. Even my favorite show hosts are stunned every time his players will do this kind of dance. Some of his contestants are given an opportunity to be connected with other programs of the network.
It’s good to know that their skills and talents are being recognized. Well, my partner wanted to learn how to breakdance when he was still teenager. He even showed me some pictures of his performance. But to be honest he looks awful. He doesn’t have talents in dancing. What more now that he is already an adult, where his joints and other parts of the body is already stiffen and harden. (LOL!)
We just laugh at each other when we tried to dance in any other tunes because each of us doesn’t know how to dance. So, for us not to feel deprive from dancing, we buy DVD’s on breakdance and so on. And do it as another form of exercise. That is every time we get bored with our usual exercise. It works well on us because we try to follow each step.
Probably, we will be able to dance gracefully if we keep on practicing. But I guess we just live it up to other people and just watch them since we don’t have much of that time.
Grilled Shrimp with Strawberry Salad
Shrimp has long been seen as a nutritional no-no for the more heart-conscious among us, mainly because of its high cholesterol content. However, recent studies conducted and confirmed that the cholesterol content of shrimp is no reason for us to panic – on the contrary. Shrimp is low-fat and lean and a typical serving (about 3 ounces) of steamed or grilled shrimp only contains about 80 calories. Plus, “skinny” shrimp have only one gram of total fat per serving, which is less than a skinless chicken breast.
As a result, today we’ll be looking at a rather unusual combination – grilled shrimp with strawberry salad. Given the high anti-oxidant content of the strawberries and the savory flavor of the grilled shrimp and added seasonings, this tasty treat is a spring and summer must-have. Give it a try and you’ll enjoy the double benefit of a tasty and healthy dish.
What we need for the salad:
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- 1 lb shrimp, cleaned and de-veined
- 2 oz low-fat cheese
- 2 small green onions, sliced
- 2 cups baby spinach, rinsed and dried
- 2 cups aromatic green rocket salad (argula), rinsed and dried
- 3 tbsp pecans, toasted and chopped
What we need for the dressing:
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey mustard
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped basil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Instruction:
In a large bowl, put together all the salad ingredients except the shrimp and mix them gently (preferably with a wooden spoon). Prepare the dressing: put the mustard and vinegar together in a bowl and whisk until they become thoroughly blended. Add the olive oil and do the same, then add the salt, pepper and fresh basil. The next step is to grill the shrimp – add it to the heated grill for three to five minutes on each side, making sure it’s cooked thoroughly (one easy hint is the slightly charred look it has when it’s done). Divide the salad among four bowls and add a quarter of the grilled shrimp on top of the salad in each bowl. Add the dressing and serve immediately.
forget about it!
I am surprised to see an email from my fourth younger brother. I forget that his birthday is coming this Jan 29 which will be on Thursday. I got a little stressed because I really forget about it. He states in his email that he wants to have a party good for 30 people because he will be inviting his classmates to come over. I don’t know what is going on his mind now since I used to remember him not liking any party. Before he hides in his room if there is an affair at home, but now that he is a bit older he wants to celebrate his birthday with a party.
I am not pretty sure that a person will be able to prepare a party in just two days. Probably yes if that person is not busy. Well, I don’t want to hurt his feelings again. Small knickknacks for the food will do.
So, I sent my mom some money to buy Discount Party Supplies. She can save money if she gets Discount Party Supplies. And can use this money to add into the food. I sent the money this morning as go signal for my brother to finalize his invitation. I caution him to stick to the number of attendees, so there will be no shortage of foods.
I love my life…
I love my life the very reason I take really good care of it. I exercise, eat the right kind of food, drink vitamins and get enough rest. I don’t let stress take over me. I relax and enjoy the things I love like watching good movies, shopping, going to the salon and so on. I am also open to the idea that life is too short and there are unexpected turns that I must be prepared.
Before when I was in college, I used to think of life insurance is a preparation for my death. There is always this question, why would I get it if I will not be able to enjoy it. That time I don’t understand much of its use and purpose. But now that I am thinking of settling down and have a family of my own. I have a change of perception.
Now that I have people to love and take care, I am more concern of their welfare. Although I still don’t have kids now, which I will have in the long run. I want to secure their future. I intend not to have babies this time because I feel like I am not yet capable financially and emotionally. I want that when the right time comes they will be living without feeling deprive of anything they need. This is also the reason that I want to get the right life insurance. I will never know what will happen in the future. I want that when I die, hopefully not yet, I will live them with financial security. Well, that’s it for now.
Beware of this common kitchen mistakes
A series of misconceptions and small mistakes we’re all prone to make once we decide to head back to the kitchen and here are a few tips on how to avoid them.
Don’t overstock on fresh fruit and vegetables. It’s true – one trip a week at the supermarket saves time and energy, but keep in mind that once they’re harvested, fruit and veggies start losing their precious vitamins and minerals, and the longer we store such products, the fewer beneficial nutrients they will contain. Like for instance, spinach kept in the fridge loses more than half of its antioxidant contents after a week. The same is true for broccoli, which loses about 62 % of its flavonoids within 10 days. As a result, filling your fridge with a mountain of spinach, lettuce, broccoli, berries, green apples and carrots is not a good idea. It’s best if you visit the grocery store at least twice a week and freshen up your vegetable supply to make sure you get enough nutrients from your fresh food.
Another kitchen mistake is storing products such as milk, rice, pasta and cereal in plastic, see-through containers. Milk, for example is rich in vitamin B and therefore extremely beneficial for your health – however, when exposed to light, the vitamin’s potency is cut because of a chemical reaction which also affects other nutrients, such as vitamins A, C, D and E. Grain products also contain vitamin B and are therefore susceptible to the same process. Therefore, don’t keep them exposed to light or in clear plastic containers. Keep them in their original boxes and store them inside your kitchen cabinets or your pantry, and you’ll be sure to have a healthy, tasty meal whenever you use them.
