Although your child is lactose intolerant, she still needs some dairy in her diet. Simply because when you eliminate all milk products, kids are likely to get the nutrients they need, like calcium and vitamin D. If your child is lactose intolerant you can start by giving you child small amounts of low-lactose milk, hard cheeses (cheddar and swiss are both naturally low in lactose), or yogurt. Always aim for a total of 1,300 mg of calcium per day for a healthy child.
