You will surely save a bit of money by keeping your car in your good condition during trips. Also, if you keep your tires at an optimum pressure it will last longer and won’t cause drag. Soft tires can mean your car to consume more fuel, so it is much better to check your car pressure checked with every fill-up. Since air at a gas station is free but extra gasoline isn’t.
Also, empty your car trunk. A weighed down vehicle wastes gas: an extra 100 lbs in your car could reduce your miles per gallon by up to two percent. Don’t forget to bring car covers during long trip; it will save you from expensive car wash.
